SPOKANE, Wash. and PLANO, Texas, Aug. 20, 2014 – Alkami Technology Inc., a provider of digital banking solutions, announced that Spokane, Wash.-based STCU, the Inland Northwest’s largest credit union, has gone live with its ORB Platform. The new digital banking platform enhances the $1.9 billion credit union’s online and mobile banking capabilities and seamlessly integrates with its core banking system D+H Phoenix.
STCU selected Alkami’s ORB Platform for its modern look and feel, increased functionality and scalability to deliver excellent member service today and in the future. As the needs of its more than 128,000 members evolve, the credit union can add new services and functions to provide the ultimate digital banking experience.
“Alkami shares the same vision as STCU – to constantly drive innovation that allows us to evolve with our members,” said Kris Keller, eBusiness manager, STCU. “With the ORB Platform, we’re providing our members a fresh and customized experience tailored to their needs. STCU has remained committed to building the best possible relationship with every member since our founding 80 years ago, and we’re confident this new digital banking platform will help us continue with that mission.”
STCU said the implementation went exceptionally well. Alkami was onsite throughout the process and remained nimble to ensure a positive experience. “We had a really great implementation – everything ran as smoothly as possible,” said Keller.
Looking ahead, STCU plans to build new features, including a new business online banking service with different security levels. The credit union also anticipates adding various educational resources to help members make confident financial decisions.
“According to Mercator Advisory Group, many financial institutions are looking for ways to better engage with their members by having increased awareness of their needs and expectations,” said Stephen Bohanon, founder, chief strategy and sales officer of Alkami Technology. “STCU is leading the way in delivering exceptional, personalized member service through its digital channels. With ORB, STCU will provide the right services to its members in the way they expect it.”
Founded by educators in 1934, STCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative with more than $1.9 billion in total assets and 128,000 members. The credit union has 17 branches in Eastern Washington and North Idaho, with an 18th scheduled to open in late 2014 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. For more information, please visit stcu.org.
