Amplifying the voices of leaders across the financial industry

Alkami’s commitment: elevate, connect, and inspire women to make lasting change at their financial institutions.

A platform for connection.
A movement for change.

Alkami’s Women in Banking program is more than a series of events — it’s a community-driven platform where women’s voices are amplified, careers are nurtured, and leadership is redefined. What began as a single conversation at an industry event has become a movement for inclusion, inspiration, and professional growth.

Mission

Empower women in the financial industry through networking, sharing diverse perspectives and experiences, and creating opportunities for growth and leadership.

Vision

Cultivate an inclusive industry where women thrive as leaders, collaborators, and innovators, driving positive outcomes for their institutions, their communities, and themselves.

The three pillars of Alkami’s Women in Banking initiative

Engage

Share stories about financial institutions and the banking leaders who advocate for women in leadership roles.

Network

Build lasting relationships through community, connection, and mentorship opportunities.

Grow

Empower individuals to further their personal and professional journeys through workshops, real-world storytelling, and thought leadership.

Creating space. Building legacy.

Companies with the most diverse leadership teams are 27% more likely to achieve above-average profitability than their peers. As Forbes notes, women are essential to innovation; they bring, “enhanced creativity, empathy, and collaborative skills. These attributes are vital for bold decision-making and cultivating new ideas.”

While women’s share of C-suite roles in financial services is projected to reach nearly 22% by 2031, the industry still has extraordinary potential to unlock. Institutions that prioritize inclusive leadership not only attract top talent—they shape the future of banking.

Alkami’s research reveals that the most digitally mature financial institutions aren’t just investing in technology—they’re investing in people. By opening doors to new voices and perspectives, they build teams equipped with the right skills and perspectives needed to drive measurable growth and operational agility.

“The guest panelists were so passionate about the topic and really made us all feel comfortable. The speaker's presentation was thought-provoking, inspiring, and left a lasting impression on all attendees. The networking aspect of the lunch was extremely valuable, and I made several useful contacts that I am looking forward to following up with. I believe there are some women who will come away stronger and make decisions that are long overdue to better themselves and their careers.”

Together, we rise

Alkami Co:lab’s Women in Banking program started off in 2023 as a grass-roots movement designed for our customers and grounded in community. We're honored to be part of this journey, creating spaces where women can lead, thrive, and shine. Because when women rise, we all rise.

Women leading the way

If all else were equal, 49% of women would seriously consider a career with a regional or community bank or credit union; compared to just 43% of men.

Bold leadership begins with belonging

A career in a financial institution isn’t just a job — it’s a launchpad for real impact. Women entering the industry today have the power to change the trajectory of their own lives and the lives of those they serve. Because when women lead in financial services, entire communities thrive and the future gets brighter for everyone.

Hear from the leaders transforming the industry — not just with strategy, but with heart. These are the stories of real impact, resilience, and passion.
